Cancellation Due to Unforeseen Injury or Illness (Japan Domestic Flights)

In the event that a sudden injury or illness prevents a passenger from boarding the reserved flight, skyticket shall negotiate a cancellation fee waiver with the airline on the condition that an official medical certificate is submitted after a cancellation request has been submitted on skyticket.

Check the relevant information provided below and submit a cancellation request on skyticket via My Reservation(s) / My Page.
When submitting the cancellation request, please check the "Cancellation due to medical reasons" checkbox or indicate in the remarks column that a medical certificate will be submitted.

Upon submission of the cancellation request, an e-mail will be sent to the registered e-mail address with detailed information on required documentation, sending instructions and submission deadlines.
Please read the e-mail contents in its entirety and have the medical certificate and any other necessary documents ready.

PRECAUTIONARY NOTE

  • Please check the details for Changes / Cancellations of each airline prior to submitting a Cancellation Request
  • In the event that a cancellation request is made without checking the "Cancellation due to medical reasons" checkbox or indicating in the "Remarks" column, please contact skyticket separately to notify us that you wish to submit a medical certificate (subject to approval)

  • The medical certificate must include a statement stipulating the following:
    Due to the above reasons, the passenger is deemed unfit to board flights from YYYY/MM/DD to YYYY/MM/DD
    (Negotiating with the airline(s) will be complicated without the information)
  • Medical certificates with any amendments or additions must have the doctor's signature in the corrected fields
  • Payments for the issuance of a medical certificates (if applicable) shall be borne by the passenger
  • skyticket cannot guarantee that cancellation fees will be waived as waivers are at the discretion of the airlines (Cancellation fee waivers may not be granted even if medical certificates are provided depending on the judgment of the airlines)
  • Airlines have a specific deadlines for submission of medical certificates depending on the type of ticket
    skyticket will notify you of the submission deadline via email after you have submitted your cancellation request (please check your e-mail inbox)
    * Kindly contact skyticket in the unlikely event that you miss the submission deadline
  • Cancellation fee waiver policy and specifics are subject to change without notice
  • Cancellation fee waivers for Japan Domestic Tours (available in Japanese only) are not applicable in all cases

* Airline cancellation fees and skyticket cancellation processing fee (JPY2,800 per passenger per flight) will be exempted
* Handling fees, administrative fees and telephone reservation fees incurred at the time of booking are non-refundable

CANCELLATION FEE WAIVER ELIGIBILITY

All Passengers

* For Jetstar Japan (JJP), the cancellation waiver applies only to those who have been diagnosed unfit for travel
* For Spring Airlines Japan (SJO), the cancellation waiver applies to both the passenger and one accompanying passenger

REFUND METHODS

Refunds will be made in accordance with the payment method used at the time of booking

CANCELLATION DUE TO INJURY OR MEDICAL REASON OF NON-PASSENGER

The following airlines allow the same negotiation in case of cancellation due to injury or medical reasons of the passenger's second-degree relative, provided that a medical certificate and documents certifying the relationship with the passenger are submitted.
