A: Students holding only an eTA are not permitted to engage in part-time employment; however, those with a student visa may qualify for part-time work if they adhere to the requirements of the "Work off-campus as an International Student" program.
Off Campus Work Permit: Provided specific criteria are satisfied, students are permitted to work a maximum of 20 hours per week during academic sessions and may engage in full-time employment during scheduled breaks (break periods set by the school), including spring, summer and winter vacations.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
- Be enrolled in a full-time program of 6 months or more
- Be enrolled in an Academic, Vocational or other core programs (not applicable to language schools)
- Possess a valid student visa and qualify for off-campus employment
- Possess a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN)
The standard working hours for a Working Holiday Visa are set at 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week, with a maximum limit of 48 hours per week.
